Claire and Evaan’s blog

Claire and Evaan 28 December 2018
Claire got in touch with me to find out how I could help, as Claire and Evaan were living in Singapore planning their wedding in Warkworth. Planning a wedding is hard work let alone when your doing it from another country.
Claire had everything under control, she just needed some help with some of the vendors and to make sure she was on track.
When they came back in September we meet up in Warkworth at her parents property, I could immediately see why they had decided with this location, it was perfect. They had an amazing ceremony site and a perfect reception area that was fit for the marquee. Straight away I was excited to be on board and couldn’t wait to bring this all to life on the day.
Through out this time we spoke a lot via email or Skype as time got nearer to the big day it was time for Claire and Evaan to come home and get married!
We held a rehearsal the day before and went over the last minute details for everything for the wedding the following day. After the rehearsal we set out the tables in the marquee where they needed to be and put out all the chairs for the ceremony.
The day was here it was time to get Claire and Evaan married! I arrived early in the morning to start setting everything up. This included putting table clothes on tables, making up the center pieces which were different flowers and greenery arrangements for each table and scented candles so the marquee smelt amazing when everyone came in. I also set out plates, cutlery, glassware, napkins and table numbers. It was a big job but we got it done and the place looked amazing.
I then moved onto the ceremony area and set up the signing table, flowers for here, parasols for guests as it was a hot day and the wedding was early afternoon and some lawn games for guest to enjoy while Claire and Evaan had their photos taken.
Once all the guest had arrived which included coming on buses from Auckland then onto a mini bus to get them into the venue it was time to get Claire to return the house, a quick touch up and tell her how gorgeous she looked before it was time for Evaan to see his beautiful bride.
The ceremony was really nice and included their family member which was such a nice touch.
Little wolf Catering put on one epic grazing table and dinner for the evening, their food and service was amazing and I would definitely recommend them.
After dinner came the speeches, everyone had such amazing things to say about the bride and groom but i think the best speech I have ever heard had to come from Evaan. “Claire has always asked me how she looks when she has gotten ready, I have always said this is my second favourite look as I knew today the way she would look would be my favourite look of her and she looks gorgeous wouldn’t you agree?” Evaan you are just a smooth talker and you are right Claire did look amazing!!
After speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance it was time to get the party started and that they did. Including Mr Whippy coming down the drive for everyone to enjoy.
Claire also had me come back the next day to do a pack down of everything so her family didn’t have to worry about it and they didn’t have to wake up after their wedding and do it either.
Congrats again to Claire and Evaan I wish you both a life time of happiness and hope one day again I will be able to help out with any of your other events you have.
